Keep the treated area completely dry. Avoid showers that wet the scalp, steam rooms, saunas, and swimming pools.
Do not touch, scrub, or scratch the scalp. Allow any mild flaking to occur naturally.
Sleep on a clean pillowcase and avoid friction against the treated area.
Sun Protection is Critical: UV exposure is the primary cause of pigment fading. Once healed, apply SPF 50+ sunscreen to the scalp daily if exposed, or wear a hat for physical blocking.
Gentle Cleansing: After the initial 4 days, cleanse the scalp gently with a mild, fragrance-free cleanser and pat dry.
Moisturize: Use a recommended fragrance-free moisturizer to soothe the skin, reduce dryness, and support the healing process.
Continue diligent sun protection to significantly extend the longevity of your SMP results.
Avoid prolonged exposure to chlorinated water and always rinse your scalp thoroughly after swimming.
