Our Donor Scar

There is no Scarless Hair Transplant!

All Hair Transplants Leave Scars — That’s a Medical Fact

Despite what some advertisements claim, no hair transplant procedure is truly scar-free. Whether FUE or FUT, any removal of hair-bearing skin will leave behind small wounds — and all wounds heal with some form of scar. The key difference lies in how visible that scar is, how well it heals, and how it’s managed.

We Combine Techniques to Minimize Scarring

At our clinic, we don’t rely on just one method. We use a combination of advanced surgical techniques to reduce scarring and promote natural healing:

  • For FUT (Strip):
Double-layered suturing for better wound stability
Trichophytic closure to allow hair to grow through the scar

  • For FUE:
Ultra-fine 0.8 mm punch for minimal skin trauma
Wider donor zone mapping to evenly distribute extraction points
Post-op healing protocols including LLLT and copper peptides to enhance skin recovery

These steps help reduce visible scarring — but they do not erase the biological reality of wound healing.

FUT Scar Compare in Same Patient

(B) Scar from another center ( 1st procedure )
(A) Our FUT scar ( After 2nd procedure)

This patient had the first hair transplant in another reputable center. He came to us for second procedure.

  • As first donor scar was very wide we decided to make another incision just below.
  • Our second scar was smaller than the first one, thanks to the various techniques we were using.

Donor Depletion in Black Market Clinics

A Serious Risk in Black Market Hair Transplants

One of the most damaging consequences of unregulated, low-cost hair transplant services — especially in black market settings — is donor depletion. The donor area, typically the back and sides of the scalp, contains a limited number of permanent hair follicles.

Once extracted, these follicles do not regenerate. In black market clinics, procedures are often performed by untrained personnel who focus on harvesting large numbers of grafts in a single session, regardless of long-term planning or medical safety. This leads to overharvesting, high transection rates, and visible scarring, leaving patients with patchy, thin donor zones that can no longer be used for future transplants.

Unfortunately, once the donor supply is exhausted or damaged, even a skilled surgeon may have no way to reverse the harm

Doctor’s Comment

Choosing a reputable medical clinic with experienced doctors is not just about achieving good results — it’s about protecting your only source of grafts for life.
