For years, I struggled with hair loss.
It wasn’t just about how I looked — it was about how I felt. I stopped going to the gym and avoided swimming altogether because I couldn’t face the embarrassment of showing that isolated patch of hair at the front. I didn’t want to deal with the stares, the questions, or the quiet judgments.
Even class reunions became something I dreaded. The idea of running into old classmates and having to answer questions about why I was losing my hair made me anxious. I felt like I looked older than I was — older than everyone else — and it started to affect my confidence on a deep level. I found myself retreating from things I used to enjoy.
After a lot of hesitation and thought, I decided to do something about it. I went to Dr. Bertram for a hair transplant. Looking back, I still can’t believe how such a simple procedure — just a little over 2,000 grafts — could have such a massive impact on my life.
The results were beyond what I had hoped for. My hairline was restored, and with it came a sense of relief, freedom, and confidence.
